Dr. Shashank Nagendra is a highly accomplished Neurologist and Interventional Stroke Specialist with extensive training and expertise in neurology, stroke care and neurointerventional procedures. With a strong academic background and international exposure, he is dedicated to providing advanced, evidence-based neurological care to his patients.
Dr. Nagendra completed his M.B.B.S. from Government Medical College, Miraj in 2011, followed by M.D. in Internal Medicine from Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals in 2016. He further specialized in neurological sciences by completing his D.M. in Neurology from Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals in 2019, establishing a strong foundation in the diagnosis and management of complex neurological disorders.
To advance his expertise in stroke and neurointerventional treatments, Dr. Nagendra pursued a Fellowship in Interventional Neurology from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals.
He further strengthened his specialization with a Stroke Fellowship from the University of Calgary, Canada and completed an Observership in Interventional Neuroradiology at Toronto Western Hospital, Canada under Prof. Timo Krings.
Dr. Nagendra has made significant contributions to the field of neurology and stroke management through his clinical practice and research. His work has been published in several renowned national and international medical journals, focusing on areas such as ischemic stroke, neurointerventional procedures and neuromuscular diseases.
His dedication to research and innovation has earned him multiple prestigious recognitions, including the Young Investigator Award at the World Stroke Congress 2021, along with several awards for his research presentations.
Dr. Nagendra is an active member of leading professional organizations including the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology, the World Stroke Organization and the Indian Academy of Neurology.
Alongside his clinical work, he remains actively involved in medical research, education and academic contributions, reflecting his commitment to advancing neurological science and improving patient care.
